Peoria Sports Complex is the year round player development home of the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners. The teams utilize the complex for various Minor League training seasons.
Extended Spring Training is held from early April through early June. During this time, players compete and play for spots on Low-A and Rookie ball affiliate teams that begin their seasons in early June. The majority of the players participating in Extended Spring Training are holdovers from regular Spring Training who did not make a full-season roster, or international players that have a chance to play domestically for a short-season club. When Extended Spring Training ends, the players will head to an affiliate club, with the remaining roster spots being taken up by new signees from the Amateur Draft in June.
Games are played on the Practice Fields and are open to the public. Admission and parking are free. Games typically start at 10:30 am on weekdays and at 10 am on Saturdays (unless otherwise noted).
Due to clubhouse construction, during the 2013 Extended Spring Season, the San Diego Padres will conduct all of their baseball operations out of Surprise Recreation Campus. The Seattle Mariners will continue to play their games at Peoria Sports Complex.
