Arizona Summer Rookie League is held from late June through the end of August. Cactus League teams play 56 regular season games followed by division playoffs for the championship. Rosters are limited to 30 active players for any given game (total roster limit of 35 active). Players participating in this league may have no more than two years of prior Minor League experience.
Games are played at 7 pm and are open to the public. Games are played in the main stadium or on the Mariners Practice Fields. Admission and parking are free.
Due to clubhouse construction, during the 2013 Rookie League season, the San Diego Padres will conduct all of their baseball operations out of Surprise Recreation Campus. The Seattle Mariners will continue to play their games at Peoria Sports Complex.
