Peoria Sports Complex is the year round player development home of the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners. The teams utilize the complex for various Minor League training seasons.
Fall Instructional League is held in from mid-September to mid-October. This league is an additional development camp to give select players additional game experience and small group instruction. The players are hand selected by the Player Development front office. Instructional League allows these players to get additional at-bats with the specific goal of either improving their specific skills or catching them up for lost time in the field (due to injury or contract holdovers from the June Amateur Draft). A player’s performance in Instructional League, as well as their level of improvement, can dictate their status for the following season. Along with our home teams, Peoria Sports Complex has welcomed several Pacific Rim teams for Instructional League over the years. During the 2014 season, the NC Dinos from Korea will play at the complex on the Padres Practice Fields.
Games are played on the Practice Fields and are open to the public. Games start on weekdays at 12:30 pm and on Saturdays at 10 am. Admission and parking are free.
